Is it possible to use WhatsApp and be GDPR compliant?

I’m not a Facebook fanboy—but WhatsApp is the best customer support tool for data protection.

Here’s why:

1. End-to-end encryption:

SMS isn’t encrypted at all due to how it’s set up.

And despite being the biggest channel for customer service, we all know that email isn’t a safe way to send confidential details.

Compared to these, the WhatsApp solution offers secure end-to-end data protection. Even we – as service providers – can’t break into those messages.

This makes WhatsApp the safest for sharing data.

2. Control over post-processing:

After a message leaves the WhatsApp servers, we can guarantee contractually that they’re only processed within the region you want.

Thus, it becomes much easier for you to comply with all the relevant data protection measures.
