Taking time off from work

I’m currently on a workation in Spain.

And I’m spending a lot of time slacklining.

I’ve always been drawn to things that need some mastery.

Slacklining is a skill that can take months and months, many hours a week, just to learn to balance and pick up some tricks.

I started learning it in my late 40s and I’ve been practicing it for 4 years now.

Here in Alicante, Spain, when I’m not working or spending time with my family here, I put up my slackline between 2 palm trees.

It’s getting colder in Berlin, so I’m liking the warmth of the sun and the Mediterranean sea here.

Taking some time off frees up my mind from the urgency trap, so I can come back to things that much more refreshed.

And I feel like I’m mastering this timetable. Not that the timetable is mastering me.
